Elsa de Alwis, LMSW

I believe therapy is an honest, open, and authentic collaboration between client and therapist. The healing power of a supportive therapeutic relationship should enable every individual to develop to his or her full potential. I take an insight-oriented, eclectic approach, incorporating various theories depending on the needs of each client. As a social worker I also take a systems approach and therefore consider carefully the many interconnected facets of an individual’s life. I create a safe, nurturing space for clients to explore and work towards their short-term and long-term goals. I can help with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder life transitions, and relationship and family issues.
I welcome all types of sexual orientation and gender expression,
as well as individuals who are in polyamorous relationships.

I am a Licensed Master Level Social Worker. I received my B.A in Psychology at the University of Colorado and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver. I have been practicing for 3 years. My specialties are mood disorders, family conflict and relationship issues. I currently work with adolescents and adults starting at 14 years of age.
